Introducing V3

Gaming in this day and age is a lot different compared to how gaming was 10-15 years ago. Unleashed Fear is a game based on the old school classic gaming that took place “many” years ago.

With Version 3 of Unleashed Fear we hope to combine the new-way of gaming, together with the old school classic gaming style. Continue reading this blog article to find out more on how we want to combine these two realities and how this will change the game itself.

 

 Introduction

In current day and time there is a lot more possibilities when it comes to playing games and how to construct games.
Back in the days we had big computers with low resolutions, less powerful video cards/memory/CPU and much less resources in general. (Remember browsing the web in IE?!)
Nowadays there’s endless of possibilities, mobile gaming, big and small resolutions touch screens and zooming in options, instant communication with servers and pretty much endless resources.

Objective

Our plan is to combine the old classic text-based game-play together with live communication, endless features and of course a much more pleasant experience of playing the game on different devices.
The plan is to re-build the design of the game entirely to make it easier to play the game, more pleasant and enjoyable to play the game and to instantly receive help playing the game. (For new players mainly)
We also want to bring live communication to the server into the game, which will allow for a live chat-box/messaging system, which will allow receiving notification on mobiles/tablets and which allows a much more pleasant way of playing the game. (Less clicking, instant updates and much faster)
Once the live communication and design have been completed we can start working on building apps based on the core of the game, apps that will allow you to easily maintain playing the game in an enjoyable way. (Mobile websites can be slow, not the best of resolutions and the easiest the manage)

These are the 3 main ingredients for Version 3, however we didn’t even mention the countless of new features this could offer for the game.
Below you can find a full list of upcoming changes, these changes will contain a small description together with possible examples or previews.

[learn_more caption=”Tournaments” state=”open”] Every X amount of time a tournament will take place between the top 32 or 64 gangsters.
This tournament will be a ‘total random events’ tournament, meaning anyone can beat their opponent as everything is randomly decided.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Arena” state=”open”] The Arena offers players that want to fight duels a chance to fight duels.
Everybody will get 3 daily attempts to duel someone else WITHOUT getting killed in the process,for these “fake” duels you’ll receive small rewards.
You will also be able to request a real duel in the Arena, players looking for duels will be listed here including what type of duel and what rank the opponent should be.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Bet shops” state=”open”] Bets will be created for every duel and family war that has been accepted.
There will be a certain amount of time you can place your wagers on who will win or if it’ll end as a tie.
After the duel or the war is over all bets will be reviewed and winners will receive their cash.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Family crimes” state=”open”] Families will now be able to gather members to commit family crimes.
Family crimes will allow you to gain even more stats and money and possibly a slight chance on a unique reward.
The more members join the family crime the more likely you’re to successfully pull of the crime, but you’ll have to share the earned money between all participants.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Family city buildings” state=”open”] Families will be able to construct buildings in the city they own.
Constructing buildings will give great benefits to the city itself but also for the family that controls the city.
Every building has it’s own unique benefit, these benefits can range from decreased cooldown, increased volumes of trades/stocks and increased profits on other features and much more.
To construct buildings you’ll need to gather people in the city, everybody in the city will contribute towards the construction progress.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Family skills” state=”open”] Much like the character skills system, families will gain family skill points when the family levels up.
Once a family has obtained skill points it can start training family skills, to fully train a family skill donations will have to be made by family members. (Same rules apply as the above ‘New family level system’)
Everybody in the family will gain benefits from family skills.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Family level up system” state=”open”] To level up families you will now have to do more stuff then simply just comitting crimes/gta’s and reaching a certain amount of experience points.
Players will have to donate cash towards the family in order to level up the family, every family level will require a certain amount of money in order for the family to get promoted to this level.
Donations consist of $10.000, this cannot be increased or decreased, members of the family can donate $10.000 every 20 minutes, if you have a VIP profile you will be able to donate every 15 minutes.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Family departments” state=”open”] Certain departments will be created for the family as the family levels up, departments such as; Crime experts, trade experts, stock experts.
A new family right will be added to the manage section that will allow members of the family to place other members in certain departments.
Once you’ve been placed in a department you’ll become an ‘expert’ in this department, you’ll earn more money for yourself but also for the family.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Character skills” state=”open”] Every character will now be able to learn skills, these skills will allow you to further customize your character.
Every rank you gain you will get a certain amount of skill points, together with your hard earned cash you can use these skill points to level up skills.
Skills can help you in several departments; Earning more money, faster travelling, less cool-down times on features, purchasing more goods (stocks/trades) and many more.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Character dashboard/information/equipment/inventory” state=”open”] The character related functions will be completely re-made.
The dashboard will show you everything there is to know about your character and will allow you to customize your character better then ever before.
A new information page will be created where you can see all the information about your character, this will include achievements, statistics and much more.
The inventory will also be re-made, the new inventory system will be a drag & drop, ready to go system, you’ll instantly be able to equip new items to your character and immediately be able to see the effects.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”World bosses” state=”open”] Every day at certain times a world boss will be spawned, a world boss is a NPC that is much more powerful then the regular NPC’s.
Shooting at the world boss will give you more rewards then regular NPC’s, everybody will be able to participate in the world boss events.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Achievements” state=”open”] Players will now be able to gain achievements, achievements are almost identical to titles except for one major difference, achievements can be gained over the entire course of each and every version and will therefor be much harder to claim.
Achievements can be displayed on your characters profile if you desire to do so, unlocking achievements might give extra bonuses in the future related to which kind of achievement you unlocked.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Vouchers system” state=”open”] Everybody will be able to obtain vouchers via certain features/ways.
These vouchers can be exchanged and/or used to purchase items from the voucher shop. (Continue reading down below about the voucher shop)
Vouchers will be a currency much like the Gems currency, vouchers cannot be sold/traded/send.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Gems system” state=”open”] The gems system will be slightly changed with the release of V3.
The shop will be completely revamped and will also receive several updates.
There will be new gem related features and there will also be more customization of the purchases you make.
You will now be able to use less gems to buy hourly upgrades instead of weekly or monthly![/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Daily lotto” state=”open”] Every day, every player will get 3 free attempts on the daily lotto, this daily lotto will give you random rewards.
Rewards can vary from; Vouchers, Ingame cash, Stamina and more.
2 extra attempts can be bought for vouchers/gems.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Live chat-box” state=”open”] On the bottom of every page there will be a live chatbox similar to chatboxes you’ve might seen in other online games.
This will allow the majority of the players to instantly communicate with each other, you will also be able to minimize this chatbox in case you don’t want to make use of it, this chatbox will replace he current ‘shoutbox’ feature completely![/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Factions (Unconfirmed)” state=”open”] Note: This feature can only be added if the game has enough players to support such feature. Factions can be formed by a family once they reach a certain level, this family will become the leading entity of the faction, other families can choose to join this faction and share benefits with other families within this faction. If this feature will be added then there will also be another feature which will allow factions to fight wars with each other.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”City districts (Unconfirmed)” state=”open”] Note: This feature can only be added if the game has enough players to support such feature. City district will allow players to hide even better then they could before, every city will gain it’s own unique districts, these districts allow for ‘inner-city’ travelling which is a new travel system next to the regular travel system. All districts will come with new crimes, new drug prices and much more.[/learn_more]

This feature will add the option to fight over cities, Families that control a city will have to defend their city against invaders who want to claim control over it. City wars are fought 1 against 1 which means that allies cannot be involved in the war itself.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”New design & Redesign” state=”open”] The general lay-out of the game will completely be redesigned, this redesign will allow you to play the game in an easier way but will also give more of a “gamie” feeling.
Every page will also be redesigned to fit into the new design, it will also become much easier to obtain crucial information on every page by using the “help” button. This information can be crucial to the way you play and might give more insights that you previously might not have known.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Mobile & Tablets” state=”open”] Currently the design of the game isn’t very compatible with mobiles and tablets, we will work hard on improving this and making it much easier to play Unleashed Fear on these devices, every feature of the game will become more accessible and it’ll be less of a burden to play on smaller devices.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Applications (Future)” state=”open”] At some points we will start working on Applications for the game, these applications are meant for Facebook and Mobile devices.
These applications will make playing the game much easier and will keep you updated much easier.
You’ll be able to download/install and app and receive notifications on your phone that might be crucial for you, however since all these Applications require a new way of coding and interaction with the server on a different scale this is something to look forward to in the future.[/learn_more]

[learn_more caption=”Community & Role playing aspect (Ongoing)” state=”open”] Improving the community and role playing aspects of the game is an ongoing process, even tho much of this depends on the community itself we will look into ways to make this more interesting and possibly more rewarding.
We will look and add new community moderators, we will add new communication methods and allow experienced players to help newer players.
We’ll also start publishing newspapers related to in-game events and upcoming changes and much more.[/learn_more]

Having your friends play Unleashed Fear is crucial for the game but also for you as the player, the more allies and friends you have the more of a chance you’ll stand in this dark underground world.[/learn_more]
