Introduction
As you are gaining experience and ranking your character, it’s important that you find a suitable family to join.
Families can offer you protection from being randomly shot at, once you're part of a family you will be able to get shot during a family war or during a warzone city event.
Which family to join is entirely up to you. Some families might have certain rank requirements before you can apply to join their family.
Or you might receive an invite from certain families, remember you will lose your safety once you join a family.
How does it work?
Once your character reaches yellow safety. Various options will become unlocked in the game.
One includes the ability to join a family. This is located under the ‘family’ tab on the bottom menu side.
You will receive an event if you receive an invitation to join a family, with the invite button becoming bold.
When you have joined a family you will receive their current home city as an additional 'safe haven', and any family members will be highlighted to you on the online list. There are multiple other benefits from joining a family such as family skills, family vaults and more.
Starting a family
In order to start a family you will have to reach a certain rank in the game, once you have achieved this rank you will need a certain amount of money.
When you've reaches all the requirements and are ready to start a family, you should travel to the location you want to start your family in, this location will become the safe haven for the family.
Leveling up a family
By committing crimes and GTA's your family will gain a certain amount of experience, till you can eventually level up your family.
Every member will be able to donate a certain fee in order to help the family level up, once the family has leveled up after reaching the required experience and donations you'll restart the process for the next level.
By leveling up the family you'll be unlocking additional benefits, higher family skill levels, more family vault space and more.
Family headquarters
Every family starts off with the basic family headquarter, this allows you to recruit some members and pay minimum debts. The bigger your headquarters becomes (after upgrading) the more members you can recruit into the family, the more debts you'll be paying and the more family vault space you'll have. We recommend only upgrading the headquarters if you feel you can actually fill the additional slots inside the family to make up for the extra costs.
Family skills
Family members can donate towards leveling up family skills, everybody inside the family will benefit from these skills, the higher family level the higher a family skill can be leveled up.
Family vault
You can fill the famiyl vault with equipment from your regular vault as long as you have sufficient rights to do so, family vaults offer additional stats for all members of the family the same way as regular player vaults do. Family vault space can be increased via the family headquarters, family level ups and family skills. Moving an item from your regular vault to the family vault requires rights and money to do so, everybody whom meets the rank requirements of the items in the family vault will gain these benefits.
Rights within families
Family leaders can create 'groups' that have certain rights attached to them.
Members that are part of the family will be placed in these certain groups, certain rights give access to more family related features.
Make sure to correctly define the 'default family group' as new members will automatically be asigned to this group. And make sure to organize the groups in order, the default group should in most cases be at the bottom of the list, with groups such as 'underbosses / co leaders' being around the top.
Family wars
When you are part of a family, there is a chance that you could be killed during a family war.
This is a new system we have introduced into the game. This will also give you a chance to kill other people within the game.
For more information please see the relevant section ‘War’ in the manual.
Family earnings
Every member of the family will pay a 10% fee towards the family on the profit they make from; crimes, gta, trades and stocks, npc's and world bosses. There eanings will be added to the family bank, which will be used to pay of family debts or other upgrades.
Family salary
Every day at 00:00 every member of the family will receive 'salary', this is based on your %'s of earnings compared to other members and the total amount of money on the family bank. When you earn more compared to other members you'll also receive more salary. You can either claim your salary or decide to put it straight back into the family bank.
Leaving a current family
At any time you will be able to leave your current family as long as there is no preparing, pending or active family war ongoing.
We suggest that you always get permission by the family leader before doing so.
You will have to pay an ‘exit fee’ according to your rank to leave the family.
You might also be able to get dropped by the family leader, or any of the members with the drop rights, if you get dropped you won't have to pay any fee to leave the family. If you leave a family or get dropped you won't be able to join another family for 6 hours, keep this in mind.
Leading a family
This is no easy feat, and you will need a lot of experience and knowledge in order to be a successful family leader on Unleashed Fear. You will be able to create a family when you get to a certain rank within the game.
